Victoria Pierre-Jean, known by her artist name VPJ, is the founder of Visually Painting Jems, LLC. She is an emerging Haitian American artist from Brooklyn, NY. Daughter of Haitian roots, embracing lecole, legliz and lakay – her art pays homage to history, events and iconic figures. Her childhood coloring books dreams transitioned to beginner art classes as a teen for two years at Zelda Art Studio in her hometown of Brooklyn. She embarked her artistic journey by celebrating the fast-drying wonders of acrylics. As a licensed MSW, her passion about empowering hearts and minds ultimately helped her return to a world of creativity, imagination and art. After being gifted a paint set in graduate school, she began painting independently. Later, she began sharing her  passion for art by hosting engaging art nights at nonprofits and churches. A rekindled connection with a colleague from Fulton Art Fair allowed her to join the organization shortly after in 2022 and sell her first art piece at Tompkins Street Fair (TAMA), which ignited her journey as an artist. VPJ’s  use of acrylic and mixed media is ever evolving  and used to unleash creativity to strike the perfect harmony between personal growth and unwavering perfectionism. As an artist VPJ recognizes the power in sensitivity and utilizes her art to be informative, thought-provoking narrative that mirror the pulse of our ever-evolving world. VPJ notes sharing her creative journey and God given gift allows her to hold herself accountable one masterpiece at a time.
